On January 1, 2012, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657) went into effect in the State of California. Under the law, large manufacturers and retailers are required to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking within their supply chains.

The Sierra Family of Dealerships has never had any indication that any of its suppliers, or anyone in any of their supply chains, is involved in any way in slavery or human trafficking. Sierra does not contract directly with foreign manufacturers or suppliers other than through its principal franchisors: General Motors, American Honda Corporation, Subaru of America, American Mazda Motors, Inc. and FCA USA, LLC. Our efforts to monitor, audit, certify, hold accountable and train participants in that supply train rely on the much more robust and knowledgeable actions of these franchisors. Links to their statements concerning supply chain management and their philosophies of no tolerance for slavery or human trafficking within their supply chains are shown below.

At Sierra, we hold ourselves and our vendors accountable to high ethical standards wherever we do business. We believe our manufacturing associates share this ethic, as indicated on their websites listed above. Similarly, most of our other suppliers, for which Sierra is mostly an end-user rather than a manufacturer or retailer have processes in place to ensure that their products are produced ethically.
